How do you find out the monthly insurance cost for a nail salon?How do you find out the monthly insurance cost for a nail salon?
The first year you're in business, you can't buy it by the month - you have to pay in full. And it's probably going to be around $500 for the year, for the liability and a small amount of property. Workers comp is extra.How do you find out the monthly insurance cost for a nail salon?
Call a local reputable agent. I don't make people wait 2-3 days for a quote and you shouldn't have to. If they can't get back to you in the same day how responsive are they going to be if you need customer service or help with a claim?
There are so many things that affect the premium- like the location, type of building, how many techs, just doing nails or other things too like tanning or sale of items unrelated to nails, how much coverage you want for your equipment %26amp; supplies and money, how much liability coverage do you need/want/is required by landlord, etc.
Companies vary on payment plans, some DO offer monthly payments, even in the first year of business.
If you'll have employees you may also need Workers Comp.
The best thing you can do is call an agent that knows your area.
Two ideas:
1. Call a few insurance companies and ask for a quote. Make sure that you have all the information -- they will tell you exactly what info they need from you. This will take 2 or 3 days to get an exact answer, but you can often pester them for an immediate, right-now-on-the-phone ';ballpark'; guesstimate.
2. Visit a couple of nail salons and ask the owners or managers. If you think they won't tell you (maybe you are the competition), then you can pretend to be a student taking a course at a local community college and that this is part of an assignment that you must do for a course called ';Small Business Administration.';
If you have someone in your family around 15 or 16 years of age, send them to ask the question. Tell them that you need them to do some ';detective work'; and that all you need to know is how much the monthly insurance costs for the salon. Give them these ideas and set them loose. My point is that a salon owner would be more likely to help a 15-year-old (and to believe they are asking about a school assignment) than a full-grown adult.
you can get an estimate from an agent..call whomever you have your home/auto insurance and you can even get a discount.
i dont know
