MDS is short for ';Material Data Sheets';, and means a notice about a chemical that may have safety and/or health issues. They are required to be posted in any place where materials with MDS are used. Ask your manager. If there are any MDS they are to be posted (US federal labor statutes). One thing, though -- MDS criteria are generally about things like cancer and other serious health issues.
