How about fliers - ask at the local newsagent etc. Perhaps you could ask at a local hairdresser if they will but up advertising if you will do the same for them?
Word of mouth, or a promotion when you open.I need some inexpensive ideas for marketing in a nail salon?
word of mouth is always the best way but your gazette or your local radio station as they r usually cheaper..I need some inexpensive ideas for marketing in a nail salon?
Do your own small cards and flyers which can be picked up or handed out
A free website that you can construct yourself on freewebs or where ever myspace ect. List your prices and what you offer, have signs put up that can be seen from across the street, or first timers get a discount. Hoped this helped and good luck with the marketing of the nail salon!
Dont know if Im totally with it here, Are you asking for stuff you could 'allow in with you in your nail salon' on a side-line basis, i.e. a tarot card reader, a hair stylist, a manicurist, a pedicurist, a shiatsu practitioner, a masseur, a homeopathy specialist, a dietitian, a homemade honey %26amp; chocolate/fudge maker, a soap %26amp; other cosmetic maker, something that can be 'on the side' in and to the nail salon whilst also working 'with it'
OR
Are you asking how you can 'advertise your salon' to prospective clients? How you can bring people into the salon with not too much effort or advertising costs etc to yourself, so widening the profit percentages etc.,?
Hope what Iv written at least helps you in some way or another, as Im the one from before that may have wasted your time re the waitressing and barwork answer!! Perhaps I have made up for that with this ...
When you give good service, people will always come back as well as telling their friends.
10% discount for the first visit
Gift vouchers
Good luck
Network, network, network. Get the word out, because if I tell 2 people and they tell 2 people and so on and so on.
You should take a picture of an unpainted hand with bad cuticles, thenpaint thae persons hands and make themok realy pretty and under it say This Could Be You
Why don't you make %26amp; distribute your own leaflets.Hand them out in your town centre %26amp; put them through letterboxes around your area - get friends %26amp; family to help. Put up posters in local shops %26amp; public places.
Advertise in your local paper(s).
Do some kind of promotion. For ex: 10 manicures and you get one free; first manicure, you get free bottle of polish; first pedicure, you get a free ';upgrade'; to some sort of treatment..an extra massage, a paraffin wax, an exfoliating scrub, etc
Do like the other posters said and make your own brochure. Leave it at local delis, restaurants, etc. People WILL pick it up.
Start a referral program. If a good client brings a new client to you, give the good client a 10% discount on her next service. You will have to keep track of this with referral vouchers or something similar (The good client gets a voucher with their name on it, gives it to the new client, new client brings it in and gives it to you, and you mark it down for the good client to get their 10% off.)
Take advantage of the internet. Make sure you're properly listed on any of the online ';phone books'; and make a free webpage for yourself with a list of your services, prices where you located, and how to contact you.
