How are Temporary Tips applied at a nail salon?

How do they get applied?

How long do they last?

Do they look natural?

Please tell me :]

Thanks. How are Temporary Tips applied at a nail salon?
Assuming your talking about Acrylic/Gel Nails,

- They take a long clear square nail and glue in on the end of your fingernail with nail glue.

- They then cut the nails to your desired length, drill and file them.

- Put some type of oil on them because teh drilling and filing makes your nails dry.

- They then mix acrylic powder and solution together to make the shiny gel look that fake nails have and apply it to your nails.

- They airbrush the color you want your nail tips to be (usually white)

- They apply shiny clear coat gel and put your hands in the machine to dry completely, and done !

They will continue to grow out when your new nails grow in. Which will probably be around 2 weeks to a month and a half to really notice. When you start to notice them growing in you can go back to the nail salon and get them ';Filled'; Which usually costs less than half the money you paid for the nails the first time.

To me they don't look natural but i think they look great !
