What should I expect at a nail salon?

I have always been the type of girl who can do my nails on my own and manage to have them look cute....but I really want to learn how to do my nails like the experts do...so what can I expect at a nail salon?What should I expect at a nail salon?
Well I was the type to do my nails at home too but the other day I went for my first pedicure and loved it. I got a ';spa pedicure'; and it was very relaxing, having someone else doing all the work for you. I would recommend doing it at a salon.
